So kiss me, I'm something with a Face!

Well, it has been a reaaaaaaaaaaaaally long time since i have posted a blog. Some bad stuff has happened, which kind of left me deflated a bit. This includes the passing of my wonderful canine companion Hunter. He will forever be missed.
But enough of bad stuff. Some good stuff has happened in between as well, like attending Ed and Dawn's wedding in HotAlanta. That was certainly a lot of fun, and good to have the boys together again!
Additionally, I have added a goal in my life: Since PDX has no hockey team, I have made my goal to go to every NHL city and see at least one home game. And if this includes the home team playing against the Hurricanes, then that is just gravy. Before the post, I attended games in the following NHL cities:
  • South Florida - My first NHL hockey game--> Florida Panthers vs Pittsburgh Penguins
  • Carolina -> Multiple hockey games, including being a season ticket holder for a season
  • Chicago-> Blackhawks vs. Calgary Flames
  • NYC -> Rangers vs. Penguins
  • NJ -> Devils vs. Philly Flyers

Since the last post, I have added multiple cities to the goal:

  • Atlanta -> Thrashers vs. Washington Capitals
  • LA-> Kings vs. Columbus Blue Jackets
  • Anaheim -> Ducks vs. Flyers
  • Vancouver, BC -> Canucks vs Minnesota Wild and Canucks vs. Hurricanes (First time seeing the Canes in about 5 years!)
  • Boston -> Bruins vs. Ducks (Also got to see a Celtics game!)
  • Toronto -> Maple Leafs vs. Tampa Bay Lightning (Also attended 5 out of the 6 World Baseball Classic Matchups with Teams from the US, Venezuela, Canada and Italy)
  • Buffalo -> Sabres vs Thrashers

So, 12 teams down, 18 to go. Not too bad!

Until next time!!!!!! Peace out!

Man I'm gonna miss that smelly guy. He was a good dog. I will always remember when he tried to eat streaky.

Sorry to hear about Hunter, he was a trip to be around. I still remember crashing on y'all's couch and having to let him out at 6 am in the freezing weather.

On to better news, that's a great goal to catch games in all 30 cities. I wanted to see a Canucks game while we were there, but they were on the road the entire time.

I'm at 4. Hundreds of games in Raleigh/Greensboro, 1 each in Philly, Washington, and Atlanta.
